Stewart’s urban landscapes are a reflection of pedestrian life in the city. Composed mostly of askew angles and perspectives, the natural light and its relationship with the old buildings and empty spaces and how the two interact in an urban setting are a staple of these paintings.

On the commercial side of things, Stewart was fortunate enough to have been involved with the artwork and design of Juno Award winning musician Sarah Harmer’s latest CD ‘I’M A MOUNTAIN’ as well as designing and doing all of the artwork for Sarah’s tour shirts and her DVD documentary ‘ESCARPMENT BLUES’.

Currently freelancing in the animation and design industry around the city of Toronto, Stewart is also working on completing a Bachelor of Fine Art Degree from the Ontario College of Art and Design. Stewart is a graduate of the Ontario College of Art, with an Associate Diploma in Drawing and Painting in 1995, as well as Sheridan College’s Classical Animation Program in 2001.

Stewart currently resides and paints in Toronto.
